How the Institute of Goodness collects, uses and protects personal data — and the promise that your Goodness Score stays yours.
Last updated 18 September 2026 · Draft prepared by Liveupx for review by the Institute's legal counsel before launch.
Who we are
The Institute of Goodness ("IoG", "we") is a not-for-profit initiative registered in India with offices in New Delhi and Dehradun. Contact: info@instituteofgoodness.org, +91 95821 86282. We process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and, for visitors from the EU/UK, the GDPR.
Your Goodness Score is private by design
Answers to the Goodness Score calculator and the resulting score are computed in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers. The optional first name you enter is used only to personalise the downloadable score card and is not stored by us. Sharing a card is entirely your choice.
What we collect
- Forms — name, organisation, email and message when you contact us, register PSR pilot interest or subscribe to updates.
- Analytics (with consent) — anonymous page-view and calculator-completion events. No advertising identifiers, no cross-site tracking.
- Technical logs — IP address, browser and timestamps retained by our hosting provider for security, for up to 90 days.
How we use it
- To reply to enquiries and manage partnerships.
- To send updates you asked for (unsubscribe in every email).
- To understand which pages help people most and improve the site.
We do not sell personal data and we do not run advertising.
Third parties
YouTube (Google) provides embedded films in privacy-enhanced mode and only loads after you allow "Embedded media" cookies. Google Fonts serves typefaces (no cookies). Our email and form services process data on our behalf under contract.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure or a copy of your data, withdraw consent, or object to processing by emailing info@instituteofgoodness.org. We respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India or your local supervisory authority.
Children
PSR programmes involve minors through their schools; the Institute collects no personal data from children through this website. The Goodness Score is intended for people aged 14 and over and is anonymous.
Changes
We will post any changes here and update the date above. Material changes will be announced on the site.
